Deer Park Real Estate is located in Lake County and is aproximately 31 miles Northwest of the Chicago Loop. Located east of Barrington Village and South of Lake Zurich, early settlers in this area started calling Deer Park home in the early 1800's and the community has mainly remained quiet and rural with a history of opposition to development. As with many villages in the Barrington area, encroachment by developers looking for high density development in the 1950's caused residents of the community to organize and the Village of Deer Park was officially incorporated in 1957 with the goal of maintaining it's rural character.
While some commercial development has taken place, Deer Park real estate has pretty much retained it's rural character and is home to one of the most popular shopping areas for the Barrington, Long Grove and Kildeer areas: Deer Park Town Center. Featuring over 500,000 sq. ft. on 86 acres of land, this development was originally opposed by Deer Park residents but did win approval and is today home to many great retail and restaurant chains. Real estate developers of Deer Park Town Center obviously understood the demographics of the Barrington, Kildeer and Long Grove area so in our opinion did a great job.

A quick search for Deer Park real estate on the MLS for sale showed a range of single family homes priced from $1,685,000 for a 5 bedroom, 4.5 Bath home at aproximately 6,000 square feet to a $549,900 ranch style home with aproximately 2,750 sq. ft. with four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. For attached Deer Park townhomes available for sale, the highest price available for sale was a 3 bedroom, 3 and a half bath townhome with aproximately 2225 sq. ft. available for $645,000. The least expensive unit was $539,000 with 2 bedrooms, 2.5 baths at aproximately 2202 square feet.
Deer Park Rental properties ranged from $4,500 a month to $3,500 a month for townhomes in Deer Park.
