Francesca's Famiglia of Barrington Winemaker Dinner to Benefit Breast Cancer

Dicarlo Fine Wines and Spirits of Mundelein is presenting a winemaker dinner at Francesca's Famiglia of Barrington (100 East Station Street in the Cook Street Plaza complex - Downtown Barrington) to benefit the "Sassy Striders" Breast Cancer 3 day walking team.

The dinner will take place on Friday, June 1st with a 7:00 P.M. reception and dinner to begin at 7:30 P.M which will feature a five course meal accompanied by award winning Italian Wines. This is not just any meal, it's Francesca's.... one of our favorite restaurants in the Barrington area. Some of the planned meals include Carpaccio di Tonno (Seared Yellow Fin Tuna Carpaccio Style with Baby Greens) and Filetto con Cipolline (Grilled Filet Mignon with spring baby onions and Morels mushrooms).

In addition, there will be a silent auction for donated items from area businesses to raise additional funds for the walk.

Seating is limited to 150 people and the cost is $59 per person. Tickets can be purchased and Reservations can be made by calling 1.877.342.2756 or (847) 566-4600.

The proceeds of the dinner are benefiting the "Sassy Striders" walking team who will be walking this August in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day.

Susan G. Komen 3-Day Event in Chicago IllinoisThe Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day event will be held in Chicago on Aug. 10 through the 12th. Participants walk a total of 60 miles in three days to help raise awareness for Breast cancer research and raise millions of dollars.

The "Sassy Striders" Breast Cancer 3-Day walking team consists of four walking team members: Jennifer Raaths of Barrington, Heidi Stolt of Wauconda, Amy Drobnick of Wauconda and Tasha Baird from Cary.

Help support the Sassy Striders and the Susan G. Komen For The Cure foundation by eating some phenomenal food, drinking some great wine and bidding on some great items!
