Honestly, we normally do not pay too much attention to magazine article rankings such as Top Places to live, Best schools, etc. If you are taking advice from a magazine or newspaper when it comes to real estate or life, well... you might need some help.

But hey, when Business Week just came out with the top 50 places to raise Kids, we had to take notice when Barrington was ranked #25 in the nation to raise children.

So, before you call us up to sell your home and pack up to move to Barrington, let's give you some of the third party resources we use to help potential real estate buyers make their determination.

For Illinois, you can compare all of the different school districts at the Interactive Illinois Report Card.  It's really easy to use and has appealing bar graphs that show comparisons to the state averages. For Barrington Parks and Recreation, the Barrington Park District has a great site full of activities and park information for the many parks in Barrington. It's more then safe to state we have more acreage devoted to parks in Barrington then Big box parking lots.

For the Barrington library, the Barrington Library District has a very extensive website full of activities and schedules to keep everybody entertained.
