Last Years Illinois State Tests are in and Barrington's Elementary Schools posted stellar results.
All Eight district elementary schools met or exceeded state performance targets and the average for each school topped statewide averages according to results from the 2006 Illinois Standards Achievement Test.
On average, 90% of District 220 students met or exceeded state standards, compared with 73% of students statewide.
Overall, elementary students at Roslyn Road, Grove Avenue and North Barrington showed the strongest performances with an average of 97% of students at all three schools meeting or exceeding state standards.
